How, oh how do you find a job in this economy? It's hard for everyone. I feel I have an advantage over some with a bachelor's degree and 5 years experience, but perhaps this is not the case. When I was first laid off (along with my coworkers), it was hard for me to even say the u-word: unemployed. Now I'm taking the proactive approach and am attacking this job market with a vengence!
Friends and family love giving advice, but I can't complain as I do appreciate it and I love to dispense it myself. Some suggest temp agencies, others recommend going back to school, and there are a few who say just be patient and something will come along. Well, that sounds nice but is just not true. My dream job is not going to come walking up to me one day. Although I'd take it if it did, I am a realist. So I'm going out there and finding a job (there being the virtual world wide web).
